Absolutely an amazing spot. Where the local's go. For short summary: the scenery is really beautiful, dining is on the decks above the dam, service was on point, they pay a lot of attention, food is the best part!!! So so fresh and flavorful. Go! Long summary: We had a party of 14 on a Sunday night and called a half an hour ahead and they were completely accommodating. The main dining area is outside on the decks, right above the mirror lake dam with huge maple trees all around! We climbed the stairs and went down there while we were waiting for our food, so beautiful. The service was really top notch, our waitress was on top of everything. And the manager on duty was so friendly, coming over and checking on us making friendly conversation on more than one occasion. But the biggest reason for 5 stars is the FOOD. In a touristy area like the dells it's hard to escape the mediocre generic tourist food, but this food was amazing. Everything was so fresh and flavorful, you can tell the difference. The rotisserie chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection, the potatoes were deliciously seasoned, burgers were perfect, I mean everything was just great. We picked this place over others cause we saw the reviews were good, and I always am hopeful that a place will live up to its reviews, this one DEFINITELY did! Such a wonderful experience, not one thing disappointed.

Fantastic experience at The Port. Five of us all firmly believe we found our new favorite restaurant in the Dells. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, it was excellent. Two had the Lobster Roll sandwich, one had a burger, one had the lobster mac n cheese, and I had the ribs. All of our meals were immensely enjoyable and the service was outstanding. To top it off, it's an amazing quiet and outdoorsy scene a mile from the hell of the Dells. I highly recommend.

Decided to give The Port another try. Over the years, this spot has been a few different restaurants - great location over looking the dam. So glad we came back, the food is fantastic, so much so, we ate there 3 times last week. Friday Fish Fry was really good, nice to have fish that is not fried. Oh and the Port Fries are really good. I'm not really a potato person, but these are worth it. The Lobster Mac is very good, thought could be a tad cheesier, but I'd still order it again. Nice touch on the garlic knots being made with wheat dough, not white. With us living so close, this will be a place we visit often. Food prices are very reasonable, drinks are not bad, but not as cheap as Cimaroli's.

Drinks are good too. Environment nice if you sit outside. Loved it.

Rating this 4 stars based on it being a bar patio off of the lake with some good beers & apps to relax with. The appetizers were very good, but one of our party's sandwich was cool / cold when served.

This place is great. We sat inside due to the humidity that day but they have a great patio. We ordered the lobster mac and cheese, French onion burger, and lobster roll. I want to go back and sit outside next time.

I found this place on yelp and was really excited to try it out. The menu is pretty limited but it is a small place so that's not to surprising. My boyfriend got the French onion soup and said it was amazing. He got their roudy burger and said it tasted pretty good although I would say for a restaurant burger it was pretty small. The chips and port fries were good. I ordered the spinach artichoke panini and was horribly disappointed. I wish I would have ordered the salad I was looking at instead. Prices are ok. Don't think id ever have to come back here.

This place used to be called the Green Owl and something else before that. The setting is wonderful. Outside there is a great little tiki bar serving up your favorite libations Also, there are several tiers of decks nestled in the woods overlooking Dell Creek. The new owners have really spruced up the inside. It looks updated and smells clean. It was a beautiful day though so we opted to sit on one of the decks. We started with a bloody mary which was a stand out. After we mentioned that in WI bloodies are generally served with a chaser, they happily obliged. Their menu is pretty healthy - nothing is deep fried. Their version of fries involve baking and slicing the potatoes the night before. Then the next day they are seasoned and sprinkled with parmesan before being grilled. Very good despite being much healthier than deep fried fries. I ordered a margarita flatbread which was excellent. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and there when we needed. We will definitely be back. This is, as one other reviewer said, 'a hidden gem'.

Everyone in our party loved it. A great small local restaurant that is totally worth the drive. Friendly staff and I loved that they paid attention to where they placed things on the table in relation to my one year old. Everyone loved the French onion soup. Seriously one of the best I've ever had. Bottom line: friendly service, good food, KILLER french onion soup!

First time here a few weeks back. The location is great. Off the crazy strip of the Dells. Food was solid. Owner brought out samples of soup, broccoli cheese, it was delish. 4stars Because it's new (new owners, new name, new menu) and I've only been once. Would definitely try it again. Maybe even sit outside at the cute bar area. I will say, way cleaner than when this was Green Owl. Including the restrooms. Huge plus.

We visited this place over the weekend while on vacation. It's a very nice place tucked away from the craziness of the dells. Tables were set outside near a dam. Waitstaff were very nice and most importantly the food was fabulous. We had the fish fry which was real good. They didn't skimp on the Lobster mac and cheese either, it had large chunks of lobster meat. My 6 yr old loved it. Enjoyed live music while we dined. Perfect ending to a hectic day at the water parks!

Cozy little place. Comfortable and muted atmosphere that blends in perfectly with surrounding forrest. Jim, the owner, stopped by and asked how everything was tasting. My answer to him was "Best French Onion Soup I had in ages" The Tailgator was amazing too. They managed to cook the brat patty juicy but not greasy.

Used to come to this place as a kid. It is now renamed the Port like the original restaurant. The pizza is fantastic and the location is very peaceful and has great outdoor seating in a wooded location. In the tourist madness of the Dells, this local place feels like an oasis.

We just arrived in Wisconsin and went to this off the main strip restaurant. The place is surrounded by woods and is just beautiful in the fall. They had just added baby back ribs to the menu, which I ordered, and we're absolutely amazing with a little tangy sauce and meat that literally fell off the bone. We also got the pizza and pulled pork which were also just delicious enough to where there wasn't a single piece left on our plates. The staff is very very friendly the place itself is cozy and welcoming. After your bellies are full I would recommend walking down just a couple of stairs to see the creak flow into a fall. It was very peaceful and made for a nice and refreshing first time visiting Wisconsin

We went to this restaurant because of the reviews and it was close to where we were staying in the Dells, practically a couple blocks away. We went on an off-hour for lunch around 2-3pm and we were the only family there beside a man at the bar area. The scenery here is beautiful and the seating is shaded with a view of the river, that gives it the first star in my opinion. The waitress was very nice and she even took time to ask about our day and give us some advice. We ordered our food, the pork sandwich with apples, the apple feta salad, (without the apples)and a pizza. The pork sandwich was good but the best part about that meal were the wedged fries!!! They were delicious with sprinkled parmesan cheese on them. I dont know if they were homemade but they were delicious. The Salad was great, but very sweet even without the apples. I think it was the sweet rasberry vinegriete they used, I would suggest they offer sweet and regular homemade balsamic with their salads. Next was the pizza which was great! Kind of reminded me of my chicago style pizza I love so much. I will definitely be back for pizza and fries and to try other dishes!!

The food was excellent. My wife and I had the garlic knots, pulled pork, and chicken club. All of it was very good. We also tried the port fries which are grilled potato wedges with parmesan. Even the chips were dusted in parmesan, which I thought added to the flavour. The apples and cheese in the pork sandwich was delightful! I didn't get a chance to sit on the patio, but it looked like a nice bar out there.

Nice place, good food, great view! If there was one downfall it was that the menu was too limited.

Local food made with care and love. Imaginitive salads, great pizza, wonder outdoor setting in the woods, good beer selection. An off the beaten path, quieter, low key kinda place. Great & friendly service. Even the coffee is was really good.
